QSecure provides card issuers with the software to authenticate a unique number associated with each transaction. This software is easily integrated into existing card authorization and authentication systems.
QSecure's authentication software checks the unique number in each SmartStripe™ transaction – this number is called a CVQ. If it is not a valid and unique CVQ, QSecure automatically identifies that it may be a fraudulent transaction. Card issuers can decline fraudulent transactions in real time, while the transaction is taking place. By stopping fraudulent transactions before they occur, SmartStripe™ cards protect card issuers, merchants and consumers. In addition, since each transaction has a unique CVQ, if fraudulent data does appear, the issuer can identify the source of the original compromise and stop future data compromises from occurring.
QSecure is in discussions with service providers who will offer the QSecure dynamic number authorization as an outsourced service for issuers who do not want to implement QSecure's solution in their authorization centers.
